The European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and the Vice President of EU commission, Fedrica Mogherini have arrived in Somalia today.
The visit was not announced prior to her arrival at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu. She was received by the Somalia Foreign Minister Ahmed Isse Awad.
She also met Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire who tweeted about EU’s partnership with the government in Somalia.
He said that he was very glad to receive her in Somalia and shared the exciting progress that the country has achieved.

Somalia is recovering from a civil war followed by insurgent tourist group Alshabaab who want to topple the government.
