Sagal, 26, is battling with cancer but brave enough to share her journey on Youtube. ” You won’t get bored,” she says in her first video on Youtube titled ” My cancer journey, where should I go?
” Just because I have cancer it doesn’t mean I will be bored,” she tells her viewers.
Although in Sagal doesn’t mention the type of her cancer, in her birth country, Somalia, a population of 2.92 million women ages 15 years and older are at risk of developing cervical cancer according to HPV Information Centre.
“Current estimates indicate that every year 989 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 875 die from the disease. Cervical cancer ranks as the 2nd most frequent cancer among women in Somalia and the 2nd most frequent cancer among women between 15 and 44 years of age.’ the centre 2018 Somalia Country profile says.
“Cancer has become that one enemy that doesn’t want you live your life and keep coming back to hunt you and hunt you until it finally demolishes you,” Sagal continues.
”…My life is not boring because I have cancer, I still have fun, I still travel you know. as they say, don’t catch feelings and catch flights.”
